We are excited to announce that CompassionHarp now has two fully certified therapeutic harpists available for service in our community. Pamela Goddard completed her training in July and earned her certification through the International Harp Therapy Program. She serves patients at Cayuga Medical Center and residents at the Groton Health Care Center.
Pamela says, “My inspiration and aspiration to do this work grew out of years volunteering with Hospicare, doing ‘musical care’ with Jayne. Recently a friend shared a helpful interpretation of CARE. The letters standing for ‘Compassion, Attention, Respect, Equanimity. This is the intention I bring with me when I enter a room with my harp. I’m grateful to CompassionHarp and all of the CH supporters, especially Rev. Tim Dean, for making it possible for me to be supported in this work.”
